Facility Renovations Underway at Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center

Renovations have begun at Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, to provide a more welcoming, therapeutic and comfortable environment for the hospital’s clients, staff and visitors, and to make the facility more conducive to treatment. 

Renovation of one of the group home units has been completed with a second unit scheduled to be finished at the end of January. Additionally, the renovations of the residential units are complete, which will allow for the expansion of Macon’s patient population to include girls in need of residential care. Improvements to the facility grounds are also underway to increase available recreation space while providing an even more secure setting. 

Future update plans include improvements to flooring, dayrooms and bedrooms, and renovation of the gymnasium to provide a multipurpose room for recreational therapists to conduct therapeutic activities.
